Our story

Brown Creek started with a tailgate and a porch light.

Years ago, a few of us traded vegetables, bread, and honey out of a truck bed at the end of Brown Creek Road. Word got around the holler. Folks started bringing extras from their gardens, jars from their kitchens, and the truck turned into a stand, the stand turned into a storefront, and the storefront turned into this.

We still believe the same thing: if you take care of the people around you, everything else tends to work itself out. Every good we carry supports a Blount County family. Every dollar spent here circles back into the neighborhood it came from.

Hey there, welcome to The Brown Creek Holler. What can I help with?
Are y'all open Saturday? Do you still have sourdough?
We sure are — Saturday 8am to 3pm. And yes, Miss Karen dropped off 9 loaves this morning. Want me to set one aside for you?
What neighbors say

The holler talks back.

Walked in for honey, walked out with a loaf, a conversation, and an invite to Sunday dinner. That's Brown Creek.

They've been my Saturday morning stop for two years running. Feels more like a front porch than a store — and the coffee's better than the chain down the road.

I ordered a gift box for my mom in Michigan. She called crying — said it felt like a hug from home. Worth every penny.

A holler welcome

Come sit a while on the porch.

When you pull up to Brown Creek, the porch is where you’ll find us first. Screen door on the latch, morning light through the trees, a creek out back that hasn’t stopped running — and still doesn’t plan to.

There’s a little chalkboard on the sill with one word on it: holler!! — sign your name, leave a note for the next neighbor, then step inside and we’ll pour you something warm.

New here? Sign the board. Holler back. It’s how we know you came by.

Come say hello

The porch light is on.

Stop by Tuesday through Saturday. The porch light will be on, the chalkboard’s at the tree, and the kettle’s close. Send a note if you can’t come by — we’ll write back.
